The work we take off your week
- Reformatting exports. A file comes out of one system in the wrong shape and someone fixes it by hand every time. That's a script, not a job.
- Merging files. Three sheets from three sources combined into one each week or month.
- Matching and checking. Comparing two lists to find what doesn't line up — payments, stock, timesheets, invoices.
- The monthly report. The one that takes half a day and produces the same six numbers every time.
- Validation. Catching the blank field, the duplicate and the wrong date before they reach an invoice.
- Emailing the output. Generating the file and sending it to the right people on a schedule, without anyone remembering to.
The test. If a person opens the same file at the same time each week and performs the same actions in the same order, it can be automated — usually for less than the cost of the hours it currently takes over a quarter.
What it costs
| Scope | Price | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Spreadsheet automation and processing | From £250 | 1–2 weeks |
| Reconciliation and financial tools | From £695 | 2–3 weeks |
| Private web app replacing the spreadsheet | From £1,995 | 3–5 weeks |
Fixed, itemised price agreed before any work begins. If we look at your process and think it isn't worth automating, we'll tell you that instead of quoting.
How it works
- Show us the file. Send the spreadsheet and describe what you do to it. That's usually enough to quote.
- Fixed quote. Itemised, in writing.
- We build it — normally in one to two weeks.
- You run it once with us and keep a short written handover.
- It's yours. No subscription, no lock-in. Changes later are quoted per item.
When it's time to go further
Automation is the right first step in most cases. It stops being the right answer when several people need to use the data at once, when you need history and an audit trail, or when the spreadsheet has quietly become the system your business depends on. That's the point to look at a bespoke system — and the seven signs you've outgrown spreadsheets is the checklist we use.
Common questions
How much does spreadsheet automation cost?
From £250 for a defined automation, quoted as a fixed, itemised price before work begins. Reconciliation tooling starts at £695.
Do we have to move off Excel or Google Sheets?
No. Most of this work leaves your spreadsheet exactly where it is and removes the manual steps around it.
Is our data safe?
Yes. We work with the minimum data needed, on your own accounts and storage wherever possible, and delete sample files afterwards on request.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. You pay once for the build. Hosting is only needed if the automation has to run on a schedule, and it's minimal and in your name.
What if it needs changing later?
Send it back and we'll quote the change per item. Nothing is locked to us.
Send us the spreadsheet.
Describe what you do to it each week and we'll come back with a fixed price — or tell you it isn't worth automating.
